1 What is fulfilment?

In e-commerce, fulfilment refers to the entire process that takes place after a purchase in an online shop - from receipt of the order to storage, picking, packaging, shipping and possible returns. 2 How exactly does fulfilment work?

Fulfilment starts as soon as an order is received in your online shop. A process is automatically triggered in the background: the appropriate goods are searched for in the warehouse (picking), packed, labelled for shipping and handed over to the desired service provider. At the same time, your customer receives a dispatch notification with a tracking link. Sounds simple - but in reality it is a complex interplay of technology, timing and teamwork.

Ideally, your shop system (e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce or Shopware) is directly connected to the fulfilment service provider. This automates the flow of information - from order receipt to the consignment number. Incoming goods & storage

4 What does fulfilment cost?

That is a good question, and it ultimately depends on several factors. Overall, we are pleased to work with young, up-and-coming companies and help them grow. From a financial and sustainable perspective, however, it only makes sense for both sides to outsource your fulfillment to a 3PL partner once your shop has reached a certain monthly order volume. How long does it take until MOODJA can ship my goods?

Outsourcing your fulfillment with MOODJA is quick and easy. We will discuss your shipping requirements over the phone or via video call and send you an individual offer. The technical connection of your online shop and the entry of your product and shipping data into our fulfillment software usually takes a maximum of 72 hours. How fast shipping can be processed via MOODJA ultimately depends entirely on you.

Your products are sent in packages that bear the logo of the respective marketplace, and you have little to no control over the additional marketing inserts in the package. When your customers order via Zalando or About You, for example, we offer you personalized packaging for the orders so that they experience your brand as if they were ordering products from your own online shop.
